The African architecture is accentuated by warm wood and auburn autumn tones designed to harmonize with the natural surrounding forest. The bathrooms are luxurious and feature Victorian baths from the turn of the century. Each room has a mini bar which is well stocked with a selection of beverages, light snacks. Butlers are on hand to attend to the guest's every need including room service and a very select ensemble of delicious snacks and light meals grace the room service menu.

The restaurant, open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, accommodates ninety guests indoors, with outdoor dining on the Fountain Court. This clandestine venue, in which the décor augments the magnificent aura of the Lodge, is generously designed, incorporating the rich hues of fashioned wooden furniture and exceptionally designed fabrics. The chef insists that only the freshest ingredients are good enough for the delicious meals presented at Zimbali Lodge. The superbly appointed Lounge with a roaring fireplace and its colonial elegance, provides a delightful after dinner venue. Nightcaps are served and include coffee, cognac and liqueurs. Elevated on stilts, soaring above the fourteenth fairway and offering a magnificent view of the Indian Ocean, guests can enjoy a light lunch and drinks in the beauty of the great outdoors. The bar is open to the temperate sub-tropical air and overlooks the swimming pool area with its backdrop of lush, indigenous forest. A variety of cigars are also available.
Conferencing:
Zimbali Lodge is about forty minutes (58km) by road from Durban International Airport, 31km from Virginia Airport north of Durban and a five hour drive from Johannesburg. Zimbali Lodge specializes in personalized conference arrangements for small to large groups. The Conference Centre is beautifully appointed and ideally situated for superb views of the Zimbali Estate and Country Club Golf Course. The conference centre leads directly from the Ngwenya Terrace.
There is nowhere more appropriate to plan a conference or banquet than at a boutique hotel, Zimbali Lodge, on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast. Here, in its subtropical forest setting, you can expect to catch a glimpse of bushbuck, duiker or the colourful flash of wings from one of the abundance of spectacular bird or butterfly species. Zimbali Lodge’s scenic Palm Terrace, next to the cascading swimming pool, is the perfect setting for receptions or cocktails.
The Lodge has capitalized on the excellent Natal climate to offer outdoor catering to conference group on the Ngwenya Terrace, which is easily accessible from all the conference rooms. Formal dining can be experienced in The Restaurant and private gala events can be hosted at the Crowned Eagle Club. Zimbali Country Club caters for 76 inside the restaurant for dinner and 96 if extended out onto the verandah, whilst 120 guests can be accommodated for stand-up cocktails.
