Grand Roche is situated on the site of an old farm De Neuwe Plantatie in the Drakenstein valley of Paarl, South Africa. This highly acclaimed destination is home to luxurious accommodation set against the backdrop of the magnificent Cape winelands offering gourmet cuisine and excellent service that extends warm hospitality.
This historic marvel offers unrivalled facilities including 34 distinguished rooms and suites, Vineyard Conference center and adjoining amphitheatre. In addition, The Kraal Fitness Centre housed within the 18th century Kraal walls and Herdsman's Cottage comprising of a well-equipped gym, massage room, sauna and steam room and heated pool with sunbathing area. Situated at the Manor house is a second pool as well as two flood-lit tennis courts.
Activities such as mountain biking, hiking trails, reserve excursions and golf are also available within this lush setting. A historic chapel lends itself perfectly to weddings, christenings, meditations and renewal of vows. The E-centre, with 24-hour dedicated internet access, email, fax and photocopying facilities is also available to the business traveler. For the avid art connoisseur, La Rochelle gallery offers antiques, jewelry and fine African art. Another added feature at The Grande Roche is its helipad and shaded parking facilities.
The 29 suites and 5 standard rooms exemplify individual décor and furnishings. Two of the standard rooms have been specifically equipped to facilitate the needs of physically challenged individuals.

Guests can partake in the gastronomic delights served at Bosman's 70-seater restaurant. The restaurant boasts an outdoor terrace and patio area able to accommodate 60 people on a sunny day. An extension of this restaurant is the Bosman's Cigar Club which provides comfortable venues for the fellowship of cigar aficionados. Bistro Allegro offers a casual dining experience with variations from savoury to sweet.
Conferencing
The rich heritage and picturesque environment makes the Grande Roche the ideal location for any conference, function or incentive group. Whilst camouflaged by the lush winelands, the Grande Roche is only 45 minutes away from the hub of City and the illustrious V&A Waterfront. The versatile Vineyard Venue Conference Centre with its adjoining open-air amphitheatre seats 350 people and can easily be transformed to accommodate a host of corporate and social events. Approximately 200m² in area, it can be sub-divided into 3 equal sections, accommodating 10 - 200 people at a time depending on layout. There are also two syndicate rooms seating eight - for smaller breakaway group activities on intensive training sessions.

The Amphitheatre is able to host 350 people for an outdoor function, with a stage floor area of 153.95m² and a ceiling height of 46m². The elegant WA De Klerk room is the perfect setting for small weddings, private functions or business meetings for up to 16 guests.
Conference Day packages include:
- Tea and Coffee on arrival
- Morning and afternoon break consisting of tea, coffee, juices and filtered water served with pastries and scones ( or for the health conscious, fruit salad, fresh fruit and herbal teas).
