<p>The  Ballroom<br />
This conference venue at the hotel is well known in Cape Town as a  venue for large and medium-size functions. The venue has an elegant,  chandeliered setting and is decorated in grand style. The venue lends itself to  conferences wedding receptions, product launches, and exhibitions.<br />
After the  major makeover of 2007 conference delegates will be greeted at the entrance and  staircase by the lavish red carpet while the walls are covered in cream and gold  damask pattern wall paper, creating a stylish and glamorous visual  impact.<br />
The Garden Room<br />
The Garden Room is one of the Mount Nelson Hotel’s  most elegant venues, and has been hosting memorable occasions since 1899.<br />
This imposing venue is a much-recognised keepsake of the hotel&#8217;s  last-century history and was originally designed as the hotel&#8217;s main dining  room.<br />
Sited adjacent to The Cape Colony Restaurant, it features a sweeping  entrance. Wood-panelled walls offset the impressively ornate murals and the high  barreled pressed ceilings. This venue is also air-conditioned.</p>
<p>The Union  Castle Room<br />
The Union Castle room can be found on the Mount Nelson’s hotels  first floor. The room pays bares testimony to the hotel&#8217;s historic links with  the mail ships of earlier times and their seafaring passengers, whom were guests  at the hotel.<br />
This compact venue, it is ideally suited to the holding of  smaller conferences board meetings, and formal lunches and dinners.</p>
<p>The  Orchid Room<br />

<p>The Green Park Room<br />
This smaller  conference venue is perfect for more modestly sized events and is located in the  Green Park Annex of the hotel.</p>

<p>The Grill Room<br />

The Table Bay Hotel is magnificent, straddling the antique breakwater with a style that is both innovative and entirely in keeping with its surroundings. It’s contemporary architectural treasure, its design and execution are the result of trans-continental co-operation.</p>
<p>Each room either overlooks the bay to Robben Island Prison, home of South Africa’s former President Nelson Mandela for the greatest part of his 27 years of political incarceration, or across the harbour and the city to Table Mountain. The hotel was opened with much fanfare in May 1997 by President Nelson Mandela himself.</p>

Rooms are turned down at night and serviced twice daily.</p>
<p>Bathrooms have separate showers and baths. Vanities include a personal hidden dryer and a full range of internationally acclaimed cosmetics and toiletries. There are make-up mirrors and Mediterranean-style bathrobes and slippers.</p>
<p>Telephones are provided in bathrooms, at bedsides and on each writing desk. Direct private lines fax, e-mail and copy print are provided and each has a voicemail facility and a wake-up call facility.</p>
